This is a 10-15 minute assembly or tutor time PSHE or Safeguarding session which is fully narrated and designed for KS3, KS4 & KS5 (Ages 11-18, Years 7-13). It outlines: What peer on peer abuse / child to child abuse is Why stopping it is so important How students can access help and support The 9 protected characteristics of the Equality Act How peer on peer / child to child abuse affects someone Signs of a negative relationship Pupil code of conduct How pupils can show positivity at school and form positive relationships Definition of peer pressure and the need to create an equal community There are discussion questions and quotes to aid discussion and these can be turned into written activities if you want to make this session last a whole lesson. There are two downloaded video clips that will never disappear and it is narrated although you can delete this by just deleting the icon on each slide if you would prefer. This session contributes to ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’ and the new Relationships & Sexual Education and Health Education. It also highlights safeguarding, British values and can be used as part of the PSHE curriculum. It can easily be adapted if needed but covers all the necessary guidance. Pupils have responded very well to this presentation in the past and I have updated it for this year.

This is a 10-15 minute assembly about the important issue of anti-social behaviour. It is suitable for a whole school assembly for KS3, KS4 and KS5 (Ages 11-18, Years 7-13) and was originally used for a tutor time PSHE session for Year 10. It includes discussion activities which could be lengthened and written for a full lesson. The issues it covers are: What anti-social behaviour is & examples What are the consequences of anti-social behaviour Why it is important to report ASB How students can prevent it in the community How dropping litter is an anti-social act It includes two short video clips which are downloaded so will never disappear. The students reacted very positively to this session. It fits into the PSHE curriculum, Relationships and Health Curriculum, Keeping Children Safe in Education or a whole school SMSC and FBV assembly.

This is a 15 minute assembly about veganism. It includes definitions, discussion activities and information about the advantages of a vegan diet on the environment and our lives. It has a downloaded video which will never disappear and ends with a thinking task for pupils. It is suitable for KS4-KS5 (Ages 14-18, Years 10-13) and can be easily lengthened to be suitable for a whole lesson if needed. This fits into the new RSHE curriculum and the PSHE curriculum and was originally a tutor time PSHE session for Year 11.

This is a 15-20 minute assembly on the important issue of hate crime. It can be used for all KS3, KS4 & KS5 (Ages 11-18, Years 7-13) year groups as an assembly, a tutor time session or a PSHE whole school lesson. It was originally a tutor time PSHE session for Year 10. This is a 15-30 minute tutor time session celebrating deaf awareness week. However, it can also be used for deaf awareness at any time of the year. It is suitable for KS3-KS5 (Years 7-13, Ages 11-18, Grade 6-12). It was originally a Citizenship session for the whole school. It includes: Information about deaf awareness week Information about how many deaf people there are in the UK Information about the devices people use A downloaded and clipped video which will never disappear about what ‘deaf’ means How we can support those in the deaf community What British Sign Language is and why it is important Activity and infographic getting students to sign their own name A connection to Fundamental British Values, UN Rights of a Child and a Reflection task Other links to watch the news There are discussion and activities throughout but this could easily be changed into written tasks to last a whole lesson if required. It includes dual coding and logos throughout. This presentation was well received by all year groups and many have gone on to learn BSL as a result. This is a 15 minute assembly on Sexism and Gender Inequality. It was originally a tutor time PSHE session for Year 10 but is suitable for KS3, KS4 and KS5 (Ages 11-18, Years 7-13. It covers what sexism is and whether it is still an issue in the UK. It includes three short downloaded video clips that will never disappear! It covers sexism in the workplace, what feminism is and some statistics about sexism in the UK. It has discussion activities and no written tasks. It could easily be lengthened to a whole lesson with longer debates and written activities. This fits into the new RSHE curriculum, the PSHE curriculum and works towards addressing sexual harassment and inequality in society.

This is a 15 minute PSHE resource, assembly or tutor time session for KS3-KS5. It was originally a Year 9 PSHE tutor time session but is suitable for Years 7-13, Ages 11-18. It covers what the Equality Act, how it is put into action, some examples and two short downloaded video clips so they will never disappear! There is also an interactive quiz at the end as a plenary.

This was originally a PSHE tutor time 15 minute session on Character Education and how to be a have a good character for KS2, KS3 or KS4 (Years 5-13, Ages 9-18). It can be shortened to 10 minutes or lengthened to 25 with discussion activities. There are no written activities in this powerpoint, just discussion tasks, a video that is downloaded so will never disappear and information for students to think about and discuss. This follows the Character Education guidance released by the DfE and the new Relationships & Sex & Health Education Curriculum in 2020. Students responded well to this session.

It was delivered to KS3, KS4 and KS5 with excellent feedback. The PowerPoint contains videos, discussion tasks but no written tasks. This is a comprehensive list of hundreds of relevant awareness days for a primary or secondary school. It maps the entire academic year and includes over 400 different dates and days. This is useful for pastoral leaders, PSHE leads, SLT or anyone that is putting together an assembly rota, bulletin, calendar or diary for the academic year starting September 2023. It includes cultural, religious, personal, health and social awareness days and has been triple checked for accuracy. I have pulled together all of the dates so you won’t find a more comprehensive diary anywhere. This will be a document that is updated as more dates are added next year or there are any changes. It brings together all of the useful special days for schools to focus on as part of their PSHE, Citizenship, Fundamental British Values, SMSC, Healthy Schools, Character Education, Finance Education, Religious Education and whole school ethos. All of the proceeds of this resource will be given to Save the Children for Ukrainian refugees. This is a 15 minute assembly about bipolar disorder which is suitable for tutor time, PSHE or a short whole school session to explore bipolar disorder. It explains what bipolar is, what the symptoms are and how to get support if needed. There are some video clips (downloaded so they will never disappear) and discussion activities but no written tasks. It is suitable for ages 11-18 (KS3, KS4 & KS5, Years 7-13, Grades 6-12) to give an overview of this mental heath illness for students. It was originally used as a KS3 PSHE session in tutor time and students enjoyed learning about this important issue. It ends with a quick true or false quiz and has a slide of charities/helplines to support them if they need it. Students reacted very well to this session. This is a 15 minute assembly, PSHE, tutor time session which covers what terrorism is, what the opinions of young people are about terrorism and focuses on what to do in a terrorist attack. It mentions the Prevent Strategy and has discussion questions and no written tasks. This was originally taught to Year 10 (14-15 year olds) and students reacted well to this presentation. It gives them advice, further information and support and helplines if they need further guidance. This is suitable for KS3, KS4 and KS5 students (Ages 11-18, Years 7-13, Grade 6-12) but it should be noted that this content should be discussed sensitively with students. There are two downloaded video clips which will never disappear. This could be shortened or lengthened according to the session and it can be used for tutor time, assembly, PSHE, Citizenship or British Values lesson or an informative look at what students should do in a terrorist attack as a whole school message. Students reacted very well to this session and lots of interesting discussions came from it. This is a lesson which centres around the Coercive Control BBC documentary. It was originally a set of 2 x 90 minute Citizenship lessons but can be adapted easily. It includes written activities and discussion points as well as extension tasks, definitions, moral issues and sources of support. It has already engaged lots of students and taught them the law and issues surrounding Coercive Control. It highlights how to spot coercive control and leads to some excellent discussions among KS4 and KS5 students. It is fully narrated although you can easily change this by deleting the icon on each slide if you would prefer it not narrated. It fits into the PSHE and RSE & Health Curriculum and can be used to highlight and learning to spot and stop abusive relationships. It is suitable for KS4-KS5 ( Ages 15-18+, Years 10-13, Grades 10-12).

There are no written tasks in this PowerPoint. This fits into the new RSE and Health Curriculum and is a useful whole school tutor time session to approach the issue of homophobia in schools.
